Nanuqsaurus mug
By Nathan E. Rogers
This “tiny” tyrannosaur was found in the north polar region. At 8 m (25 ft) long, it is less than two-thirds the size of Tyrannosaurus rex. Its size is likely an adaptation to the long winters of the region, when months of darkness reduced hunting opportunities.
