Coelophysis Cannibalism stock image
Paleontologists found more than 1000 specimens of Coelophysis at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. Of those specimens, several seemed to contain the bones of juveniles in the location of their gut contents, suggesting the animal may have been cannibalistic. Further studies revealed this may not have been the case, but cannot be ruled out in general.
