A pair of Doedicurus eye a jaguar walking down a game trail. Doedicurus was a glyptodont, a lineage of giant armadillos common in South America through most of the Cenozoic. Doedicurus was one of the glyptodont species, going extinct as recently as seven thousand years ago.
